October 28, 2018- Haven't touched fems in years. But I learned an awful lot about opengl and computer graphics in general in preparation for writing the companion SDP program.
December 14, 2013- The fems program supports only spring elements and 3D "spar" elements (ie tension/compression loading only) for a linear statics analysis. The infrastructure is in place to support many other types of elements with point, line, surface, and volume topologies. The Sloan algorithm for nodal reordering is implemented and the program supports mixing of all element types for convenience. Recently added builds for 32 and 64 bit builds on both Linux and Windows and also fixed a bug found when running the 64 bit version. Below the source code can be downloaded as well as a simple manual and binary executables compiled for 32 bit linux, 64 bit linux, 32 bit windows, and 64 bit windows.
